Roibeard Mac an Bheatha (Robbie McVeigh) is researcher, writer and activist. He is an Irish Protestant and has written critically on his own community and their role in Irish politics and history including ‘No One Likes Us, We Don’t Care: What Is to Be (Un) Done about Ulster Protestant Identity?’ in The Contested Identities of Ulster Protestants (Paul Burgess and Gareth Mulvenna eds.) He has written extensively on human rights, racism and sectarianism and colonialism in Ireland.
His publications include Racism and Anti-racism in Ireland (2002, with Ronit Lentin), Ireland, Colonialism and the Unfinished Revolution (2019, with Bill Rolston) both beyondthepalebooks.com.
